The national women’s and men’s Orange Ligue 1 championship begins on Saturday, June 6 for the 2020-2021 season.
Eight women’s and eight men’s teams will compete for the championship title this season.
In the women’s championship, the tenors will always be present like the champion team AS Police, which will be the team to beat, its runner-up Djoliba AC, Stade Malien, CBD (Center Bintou Dembelé) from Koulikoro and the Attar club of Kidal. These four teams mentioned will undoubtedly have to compete for the top of the table. AS Réal will try to thwart the prognosis to invite himself into the square of AS. As for the promoted from KSC (Kalaban Sport) and Tata de Sikasso, the primary objective would be to stay the course for the next season. Noted that a significant movement of players took place between the top teams before the start of the season.
Among men, AS Police will try to maintain its supremacy, while challengers like Attar club of Kidal, AS Réal, or AS Mandé (the revelation team of last season), or the Stade Malian, will try to challenge the domination of the police. The CBD, which managed to maintain itself last season, should fight for a second consecutive year in the League and perhaps ogle the side of the square of AS. Those promoted from Sigui de Kayes and Communes VI will have to adapt and avoid returning to League 2.
