It is a meeting that all lovers of basketball, dunk and music look forward to the 9th edition of Orange Streetball will be held from Saturday 6 to 20 November 2021 at the Palais de la Culture after, last year, the cancellation of the 2020 edition due to the Covid health crisis.

Orange Streetball is one of the must-see events in West African basketball. The competition, which brings together the best teams and players from Mali, is one of the most popular on the continent. Interrupted last year because of the Covid health crisis which forced World Label to cancel the event which attracts a large number of participants and spectators. Streetball 2021 is therefore eagerly awaited by the public, organizers, basketball players and artists.

Yesterday Friday, October 15, 2021, there was the casting for the return to competition scheduled for November 6. This year there will be 12 men’s teams & 8 women’s teams. On the sidelines of this event, the two promoters, Hady Hanne and Boubacar FodĂ© Keita, all licensed Fiba World Players Agent since 2016, revealed the calendar for the 9th edition of the competition which finally regains its format and classic course.

We therefore start with a start of training on October 16, the start of the competition on November 6, 2021, the final and the All Star Game will take place on November 20. A season with several games as we like them, as we were used to it.

Orange Streetball, organized by World Label Mali, reached an international dimension after its visit to Paris (France), Lausanne (Switzerland), Doha (Qatar), Utsunomiya (Japan) and Beijing (China).

As a reminder, Mali is winning in world basketball with Hamane Niang as president of Fiba World and the women’s and men’s national basketball teams rank among the best teams in the world. On the continent, they grab all the trophies.

On September 26, the women’s national team was ranked 2nd in Afrobasket in Cameroon. Less than a month before, on August 15, 2021, the U19 girls had achieved the best African performance at the world in the category by winning the silver medal.
