Olympics – Basketball (F) – The United States win against Japan and qualify for the quarter-finals of the Tokyo Olympics

The United States beat Japan (86-69) on Friday in the group stage of the Tokyo Olympics. The Americans are qualified for the quarter-finals.
After beating Nigeria (81-72) on Tuesday for their entry into the Olympic tournament, the United States signed a new victory, against Japan (86-69), Friday at the Tokyo Games. The Americans have at the same time validated their qualification for the quarter-finals.
The Japanese, however, made life difficult for their opponent in the first period. They were leading by two points (30-28) at the end of the first quarter. And, in the second, they followed the USA for a long time, before returning to the locker room with a delay of -9 (49-40).
In the second half, Japan was then unable to keep up with the pace imposed by the Americans. Aja Wilson scored 20 points and took 10 rebounds. Maki Takada was the most prominent on the Japanese side with 15 points. In the same group, France and Nigeria will meet at 10:20 am.
