Oregon’s NIT hopes have taken a severe hit as the Ducks will be without two of their top players to open the tournament.
Will Richardson and N’Faly Dante will both miss Oregon’s first-round matchup at Utah State, which is set to tip-off Tuesday at 6 p.m.
Neither player is traveling to Logan, Utah for the game due to non-COVID-19 related illness, Oregon announced in a press release.
Richardson leads Oregon with 14.1 points per game in 30 starts this season. He has missed the previous four games due to illness. Dante, the Ducks’ starting big man, is averaging eight points and 6.1 rebounds per game this season.
