NBA / MVP 2021: Jokic crowned in front of Embiid, Gobert in the top 10

Nikola Jokic (Denver Nuggets) puts his name on a prestigious list of American basketball players. At 26, he became an NBA season MVP. He is the lowest drafted player in history (41st) to win this distinction. He is ahead of Joel Embiid (Philadelphia Sixers), Stephen Curry (Golden State Warriors), Giannis Antetokounmpo (Milwaukee Bucks), Chris Paul (Phoenix Suns), Luka Doncic (Dallas Mavericks), Damian Lillard (Portland Trail Blazers), Julius Randle, Derrick Rose (New York Knicks) and Frenchman Rudy Gobert (Utah Jazz). Note the absence of several superstars such as LeBron James, Anthony Davis, Kevin Durant, James Harden, Devin Booker or Kyrie Irving.
