Yet largely ahead in the first half, Charleville-Mezieres let slip the victory.
The victory against Liège, Wednesday in Eurocoupe, will have been only a thinning. The Carolo Flames fell in their wake this Saturday night in the league, on the floor of Villeneuve-d’Ascq (66-59).
However, the Flames had started well, and had even taken 14 points in the second quarter. But after the break, they collapsed, unable to lock access to their circle and chaining losses in the attack (21 in total on the meeting).
Despite the double-double Djéné Diawara (15 points, 13 rebounds), Charleville-Mezieres concedes his third defeat in the league in four matches. It will be necessary to count on the Eurocoupe, Wednesday in Roche Vendée, to rebuild a health again.
