FIBA U19 Women world cup – MAdrid — Mali is fully enjoying life in Madrid as they have secured second place in Group B with a impressive 73-66 victory against . Maimouna Haidara once again had a standout . After recording a triple double in Mali's second against Chinese Taipei, she sealed a dazzling victory with 16 points, 13 rebounds, 6 assists, 3 steals, and 2 blocks.

However, this victory for the U18 African champions was a true team effort with four other Malian players reaching double-digit scores. Point guard Fatoumata Sanou contributed 13 points, had 15 points, and Mama Cisse scored 12 points.

On the German side, Frieda Buhner's 20 points and Annika Soltau's 11 points were not enough to turn the tide.

Mali, who trailed Germany at the end of the third quarter, had an exceptional fourth quarter of 27-16 to secure the victory.
