Charnay continues to build his 2021-22 squad with the arrival of Kankou Coulibaly (1.87m, 31) from Angers. The Malian is the 5th player announced and should be the fourth post of Matthieu Chauvet.

After keeping Coralie Chabrier and Prescillia Lezin, then bringing in the young Maïa Hirsch et Joanne Lauvergne, the CBBS begins its foreign market with the arrival of Malian Kankou Coulibaly.

Passed by Tunisia, Senegal then Portugal, Coulibaly also played in the Women’s League during the 2019-20 season, on the side of Saint-Amand (8.1 points, 5.6 rebounds in 24 minutes).

Last season, she greatly contributed to Angers’s very successful year in the Women’s League 2, a club which has gained in popularity in the women’s league.

Coulibaly was the year leading scorer (13.5 points, 10th in the division), 2nd rebounder (7.3 rebounds, 9th) and best rating (15.3, 5th) of her team.

A Malian international, she has twice won the bronze medal at the Afrobasket.
