We find no less than 6 players in the group of the new coach Sory Diakite who played 2 years ago in Bangkok, when Mali overcame Latvia (67-34) in the 8th finals to afford a historic place in the quarter-finals. Among these 6 players we find among others: Sika Kone, Aminata Sangaré, Diouma Berthe, Alima Kouyaté, Diarrah Issa Sissoko and the leader Fanta Kone.
