The FIBA Afrocan 2023 game between Mali and Angola saw the latter dominate with a final score of 55-72.

Mali started off strong with a 3-point shot from N’faly Kanouté, but Angola quickly responded with a 2-point shot from Keven Albino.

In the first quarter, Mali took the lead and after 5 minutes of play, they were leading 18-7 against Angola. However, in the final quarter, Angola turned the tables and dominated with a score of 19-6, allowing the host country to pull away from Mali.

With a well-controlled third quarter, Angola takes the lead again. At halftime, the score is 42-37 in favor of the Angolan team.

The trio of Keven Albino, who scored 19 points and grabbed 18 rebounds, Braz Macachi with 11 points, and Tarcio Deniro Fernandes with 10 points, played a crucial role in Angola’s victory.

On the Malian side, only two players managed to reach double digits in scoring, with N’faly Kanouté scoring 13 points and Tamandjan dit Youba Konate contributing 11 points.

Overall, it was a tough game for Mali as Angola’s strong performance led them to a convincing win.
